Well, Xam’d is over. And what a ride it was. It was enthralling, it did everything well: animation, music, character designs, voice acting, art, humor, seriousness, maturity, romance….

Astute readers will notice one thing missing from the preceding list, and did I say “everything?” I meant everything except one thing:

It doesn’t make much sense.

Rideback. Just based on two episodes, mind you. I had a handful of nitpicks, but dancing mechabikes :D and a rad soundtrack :D and glooorious HD.

By the way, is it now winter 2008 season or winter 2009? I’ve seen both.

or thereabouts. In other words, Hisui is my favorite (switched with Kohaku after Hisui’s route), I like it when romance has a resolution, I dislike harems, and I don’t like HORRIBLY DEPRESSING END.

Having recently bought The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya at a Best Buy sale ($38 for the box set), I just watched it over the weekend. I watched it dubbed, and in DVD order.

Bottom line: I prefer the dub, though it has its flaws.
